Subject [greenstone-devel] Format of Documents and Macros
I've been fiddling with the output of documents to try to mimic some features our designers have in our current version. I've been confusing the bejabbers out of myself and can't seem to find what I am after in documentation.

We've got a collection icon that shows at the top of the page for everything except the actual generation of a document. This is fine. I've got the nav bars and so on more-or-less where I want them.

What I'd like to do display a different image at the top of the screen when I am displaying a document, based on the [Subject] metadata tag. I can get the following

<home> <help> <references>
<-------nav bar with buttons-------------->
Title is
here and
constric
ted

<No High-
lighting>

The image I want as a banner

(followed by the actual HTML that was imported into Greenstone)

================================
What I want is either to:
(a) change the iconcollection on the fly and display it on document pages
or
(b) put my banner image at the top of the browser with the controls below it and the document itself below those.

I seem to have wandered through various permutations of changes to the document.dm and html.dm macors with no real luck ...

Any hints, ideas (or "You can't do that"s) are welcome (RTFM guidance would be more useful if specific sections could be pointed at)

Thanks,

Greg Williamson
