Greenstone 2.60 works fine for collections built in 2.50 Indeed
greenstone 2.60 will run the oldest collections. I think the
www.nzdl.org site is running a recent version - as it seems to run the
demo collections with the nice new features - yet has collections that
were built in 1999.

Sorry.
A shortcut which I have used to make a cd is use the installer to
set up the system (configuration, permissions etc) then substitute
your newly compiled version of 'library' for the precompiled installed
one (using chmod to change the permissions, and checking any symlinks
are not broken)

Hope this helps,
