Greenstone 2.72 release notes:
------------------------------

New Windows, GNU/Linux, Mac OS/X and Source distributions available:
Greenstone v2.72

The Windows, GNU/Linux, Mac OS/X and Source distributions of Greenstone v2.72
are now available for download from our sourceforge page:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/greenstone, or via http://www.greenstone.org

This is a stable release -- it does not contain much new functionality over
v2.71, but does contain many bug fixes and other minor improvements.

Important changes in this release include, in no particular order:

Formatting:
------------

- New option for the DocumentButtons format statement: Print. Will
add a print button to a document page which uses a separate stylesheet
to make a clean version for printing.
- New format statement "DocumentSearchResultsLinks" - adds next and
previous search result links into a document page. This uses the
_nextsearchresult_ and _prevsearchresult_ macros in document.dm, so
the format of links can be customized.
- New variable in format statements: [DocTopOID]. Outputs the document
identifier (rather than the current section identifier, which is [DocOID]).
- New OID modifier - .rt (root). [DocOID].rt will have the same
meaning as [DocTopOID]

Plugins:
----------

- New options for NULPlug: -add_metadata_as_text, -remove_namespace_for_text.
-add_metadata_as_text will make the document text an HTML table of
metadata rather than "This document has no text".
-remove_namespace_for_text will remove namespaces from the metadata
names in the table.
- New LOMPlug plugin for Learning Object metadata
- New MARCXMLPlug plugin for MARCXML files
- Updated DBPlug, along with more instructions on how to use this
on the wiki:
http://greenstone.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/More_about_plugins#How_do_I_use_DBPlug.3F
- New MetadataXMLPlug - RecPlug no longer handles metadata.xml files,
instead they are processed using MetadataXMLPlug. Collections with
'RecPlug -use_metadata_files' need to remove that option from RecPlug
and add MetadataXMLPlug into plugins list (GLI does this for you).

GLI:
------

- A new option to choose folder to export into in GLI 'Export...' prompt.
- Fixes to Remote collection building stuff, including enabling exploding
metadata databases
