Subject [greenstone-users] gli applet 271 - creating dummy document error
Hi,

I'm finally using gli applet 271 on remote server.

No problem editing metadata and adding documents.

I have a problem adding new dummy documents (now, we want to use
greenstone directly instead of CDS/ISIS to add bibliographical entries)

I can see the document eg 1003.nul while working on GLI, but then it
does not get indexed. I have checked and looks like GLI can not write
into /collection/import folder , but dummy docs only.

Maybe beacuse it is a 0 byte file ?

For example, this is the error I get when try to move the record in GLI:

"An error has occurred on the remote Greenstone server while performing
this operation: Collection file import/BABEL3.0001001/1003.nul does not
exist.
(cmd=move-collection-file&c=babel2&source=import|BABEL3.0001001|1003.nul&target=import&un=ruben&pw=(cryped))"

It makes sense because the nul file has not really been created on
import folder.

(All folder are chmod 777)

Any ideas to solve this issue?

Thanks

ruben
