Hi all,

Firslty allow me to thank you all for your replies. Today I tried to edit
metadata.xml in open office, firstly I renamed the file to .txt, after
editing it, I renamed it back to .xml and changed to UTF-8. I tried this
with 2 unique metadata.xml files, after putting it into GSDL it was always
saying “could not parse metadata.xml” but the smaller metadata.xml (5,5
MB) was processed correctly and the collection was build, in the case of
bigger file (8 MB) it crashed by building up.

I always use the function SEARCH & REPLACE to find some strings and
replace it with text (approximately 30 words), then I replace [ with /[ ;
] with /] and some other small changes.

Maybe it would be better doing it with some commands under LINUX.

Sincerely,

Tomas
