Subject [greenstone-users] Unable to "steal" control of file
Hi,

On Windows 2000, I used the Task Manager to 'force quit' the GLI when
it hung - since then I get the message about the lock file but it
won't allow me to steal it (I am the only person using the system and
the library). I've stolen it frequently in the past but now it will
not allow the library to open at all - per following errors -

Which brings up the point, the GLI has hung on me several times -
most recently while replacing a format. Also, in expert mode,
selecting various options, for instance, in the left hand pane of the
design area, does not always select those option, but sometimes
allows several to be highlighted at once without actually going into
them...

Thanks for help -
Rich R.
