Subject [greenstone-users] Newbie question: regarding hierarchy
Is it possible to build a hierarchy based on multiple metadata fields?

i.e. suppose that I have a collection that I have placed into folders using
the GLI, and I enrich the folders with metadata information that carries
down into the child subfolders

Book
...Technology
......Mechanical Engineering
Periodical
...Time
......2008
.........May

For instance, I assign "Book" and "Periodical" to dc.Resource Type; and I
assign "Technology" and "Time" to dc.Resource Identifier; and I assign
"Mechanical Engineering" and "2008" to dc.Coverage.

In reading through the help and faqs and the like, I understand that I can
use a pipe, but I am unsure as to how to actually do this. It did not work
to put the following in my collect.cfg file:
classify hierarchy -metadata dc.Resource Type|dc.Resource
Identifier|dc.Coverage

Any suggestions or pointers is appreciated.

Thanks,
-eric
