|What should I examine or change so my collections do not come back with
"There are 0 ways to find information in this collection"?
I have installed a binary distribution of Greenstone 2.39 on a Linux
host. Using the command-line interface, I am able to use mkcol.pl,
import.pl, and buildcol.pl to seemingly build a collection/index of
HTML files, but when I try to search/browse my collection (without any
additional configurations), Greenstone returns a message saying, "There
are 0 ways to find information in this collection". Alas.
Similarly, when I use the Collector, the Web-based interface, the
process seems to go well, but again, I get "There are 0 ways to find
information in this collection". Sigh.
As I look at the logs and such, it seems as if stuff it getting
downloaded, converted into XML, and indexed, but there seem to be no
documents in the collection when the processing is all said and done.
Can someone point me in a direction for resolving this problem?
P.S. I tried using version 2.50, but mkcol.pl did not create the
necessary directories and files in the collect directory. Additionally,
I would like to open up the GUI Librarian interface, but Java complains
that it can not open an X11 session.
