Hello Ed,

Yes, you could write a plugin. Alternatively, you can convert your xml
files (containing DublinCore metadata) to the Greenstone metadata file,
the schema of which is available at
http://www.greenstone.org/dtd/MetadataSet/1.0/MetadataSet.dtd
(use "view -> page source" of Mozilla to view it)

The "demo" collection shipped with Greentone contains metadata sample
files (metadata.xml) which can be found in the "import" directory.
Also, there are several predefined metadata sets in gli/metadata
directory.

Shaoqun

Hello,

What kind of titles do you want to block, the titles of parent sections?
You can suppress any unwanted titles by removing their corresponding
entries from the format statements. For example, removing
{if}{[parent(All':'):Title],[parent(All':'):Title]:} from the
SearchVList statement makes the search results only contain the titles
of
the matched sections (without the titles of the parent sections).

If you have other questions about formatting the output of the
collection,
please look at the tutorial exercise
http://greenstone.sourceforge.net/wiki/gsdoc/tutorial/en/formatting_tudo
r.htm
and
http://greenstone.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/How_to_format_the_outpu
t of your_collection

Hello,

You could try deleting the config.xml file in HOME/.gli and restart GLI.
Where HOME is your user home.

Hope it helps.

Hello Ruben,

Probally you could try appending &qt=1 to the value of /gsdlmod?e=d-00000-00---off-0gsarch--00-0----0-10-0---0---0direct-10---4-----dfr--0-1l--11-en-50---20-preferences-Nametso+Kgosiyame--00-0-1-00-0--4----0-0-11-10-0utfZz-8-00&a=q which
normally defined in base.dm. In my case, it is defined as
{/gsdlmod?e=d-00000-00---off-0gsarch--00-0----0-10-0---0---0direct-10---4-----dfr--0-1l--11-en-50---20-preferences-Nametso+Kgosiyame--00-0-1-00-0--4----0-0-11-10-0utfZz-8-00&a=q}.
Make it read
{/gsdlmod?e=d-00000-00---off-0gsarch--00-0----0-10-0---0---0direct-10---4-----dfr--0-1l--11-en-50---20-preferences-Nametso+Kgosiyame--00-0-1-00-0--4----0-0-11-10-0utfZz-8-00&a=q&qt=1}
And put the modified /gsdlmod?e=d-00000-00---off-0gsarch--00-0----0-10-0---0---0direct-10---4-----dfr--0-1l--11-en-50---20-preferences-Nametso+Kgosiyame--00-0-1-00-0--4----0-0-11-10-0utfZz-8-00&a=q in extra.dm

Sorry, I don't have time to test it, so let me know whether it works.

Hello,

How did you run the importing: using gli or commmand options?

Did you get any error messages before it happened? In gli, you can
switch
to the expert mode to view those messages (Preferences->mode).

Please send us the output messages if you can replicate it.
