Hi Renate,
I think you need to use the "explode" function and also add the pdf plugin to your collection.
There is a step by step description of the procedure in the following guide ( specially part 2 "Assigning CDS/ISIS metadata to electronic documents")

http://greenstone.sourceforge.net/wiki/gsdoc/others/CDS-ISIS_to_DL.doc

Regards,
Pablo

[greenstone-users] Full text search: PDF files

Good day,

I have built a collection from a CDS/ISIS database with some of the entries having a link to the full text as a PDF document. I built it  with Greenstone running on Windows.
However, it is not possible to search for the words in the full text.
Any reason for this?  Would it be possible if I build it with Greenstne on Linux?
Regards
Renate
