If you use the _homeextra_ macro, you can put it wherever you want, and this
macro will always show the full list of available collections.

You can change the home page and use frames like the admin page. There are
also two settings that affect the way you get the collections list.

HomePageCols: Set the number of columns used to display collections on the
home page. Default: 3
HomePageType: If you set it as "pulldown", then display the collection list
on the home page as a pulldown menu, rather than using the default table of
collection images. This alters the html that appears in the dynamically
generated _homeextra_ macro. You can then move this macro around in home.dm.
Default: not set

These should be placed in gsdl/etc/main.cfg.

_homeextra_ is automatically generated by the cgi-bin application. You can□t
change it. This macro is the responsible for listing the collections you
have in the system (all collections with indexes).

You can only apply style to the macro, like:

<div class=□menu□>_homeextra_</div>

Hope this helps.

ya i know _homeextra_ is in the home.dm. but i wonder if i customize the
home page by myself, how i can ensure that all collections that i create
will be displayed on the page? Because if i need to configure□each single
collection that i create in the home.dm, it is not user friendly at all.□So
i need to study how the _homeextra_ can display all□created collections.
