|Subject||[greenstone-users] Importing files remotely|
I understand Greenstone is not configured yet to allow remote users import documents or files into a collecton, it must be made in the server or the computer that is keeping the files and Greenstone programs.
But I'm wondering if anyone of you has encountered a way to do it into a LAN or a workgroup. ¿Someone has tried? ¿Do you think it is possible?
I must notice Michael D. gave me an useful advice ... he said it is possible to put documents in the <gsdldir>/collect/<collectname>/import folder, using the network and configuring the folder to receive files, and build the collection at a later date on the computer where GSDL is installed. I'll give it a try but I can't stop thinking if there are another ways to do it.
Any idea or advice will be very appreciated.
