Hi Lakegan,

Metadata can be used in a number of ways in Greenstone.

It isn't completely clear from your message whether you wish to display metadata with each document that matches a search, or search across
documents based on specific metadata fields (e.g. search by title).
Both are possible.

I take it that you want to simply display metadata, then you need to
change the collection's display macros stored in the collect.cfg file. You can read up on this using the Greenstone User's documentation
available through the 'docs' panel at www.greenstone.org
