(introduction...)
The sessions of the Plenary Commission, lasting from the
afternoon of 5 March until the morning of 9 March, provided an opportunity for
delegations to voice their convictions, concerns and commitments with regard to
the Education for All debate leading up to the finalization of the Conference
working documents - the World Declaration on Education for All and
the Framework for Action to Meet Basic Learning Needs.
This chapter, through the ideas and words of the delegates themselves,
examines the issues raised in this, the final week of a year-long, world-wide
process of consultation aimed at creating a renewed commitment to Education for
All.
