1.3.2 Rodent fumigation

Fumigation doses and exposure durations for rodent control are usually lower than those for insect control. As a result, insect fumigation also controls rodents.

Fumigation with acute poisons should be undertaken only by qualified personnel of pest control firms or governmental agencies such as port health authorities. Chronic poisons may be applied by less qualified persons, but strict observance of the manufacturer's instructions is essential.
